Thornthwaithe Inheritaince
FAIL! I was going to post 2 posts yesterday. I did promise! OK here's my punishment. A photo of myself.

So I read the Thornthwaithe Inheritaince. A riviting mystery book. It has a big mystery. It is totally unpridictible. It hasn't got a very fufilling ending though. It leaves you with many hopes and no answers. But in the book it does say that some endings are pre-defined! I still wish it had a happier ending though!

What the books about: The 2 Thornthwaithe's have a strange habit. They like to kill each other. So they decide to hold a truce. But traps spring back up. Who's trying to kill the other? Is it the person you least suspect? Yes.
My rating:7/10

Conspiricay (spellcheck?) 365
I haven't blogged for ages. So about time I did. Now what got me back blogging? Homework! Yep we were told to review a book so here is the review! Tell you what, as a compromise I'll write anouther post that isn't for my own selfish gane!!!
So I was intruged (again…spellcheck…please work!) when I heard about this I was amazed. A book every month! No waiting around. The book titles are also very original. On January the book's called January. On Febuary the book's called… you get the idea!
It's very good and reccomended for reluctant readers. It's action packed with a good mystery to keep you going. My only problem is at around £6 a book it would cost £72 to buy the whole series. Worth it? No! It would have to be extremely good to deserve that amount of money. (That's why I like libaries!)
Now the actual story.
What the story's about:It's set in Australia (finally no Mom's or Pop's!) The character's called Callum "Cal" Ormond. His dad has died. His mum thinks he shot his Dad and put his Sister in a coma. 2 criminal groups are after him. The police force are after him. He's got to survive 365 days (good job it's not a leap year!) and solve a riddle that could make or break his life.
My rating: 7/10
Libraies rating: 0/10 (too much money- and it will be in demand!)

Hendersons Boys
2nd reveiw YAY. Now this is a series by Robert Muchamore (the authour of CHEREB) which is set in worldwarII when the Nazis take over France. So it is educational but it thinks of the reader more than the facts (the facts are more an added bonus!) No doubt some facts would've had to be looked up but for historical accuracy rather than to pack in the book. Now people seem to assume that Hendersons Boys is a CHEREB series but just set in the past. This is because in the background story Henderson started CHEREB! Now however that may be true this is alot more action than the real-life in CHEREB. The first book is called: the escape. It however still has gross bits that I find unessecery and have no need to be in the story (like in the 2nd book where 3 boys walk in to see a man and a woman "doing it". Highly unessecery and just plain gross! To find out who this man and woman are read the books!). It's still good but has a 12+ rating.
My rating: 8/10
Your parents:4/10 They wouldn't be amused!!! (note to parents/libarians it is amazing how many reluctant readers like these books and laugh at the gross bits. Plus it makes it gritty and not just anouther plain adventure story. So turn a blind eye!!!)
What it's about: Two English children are in France with their dad. When their dad dies they are left in France on their own. Meanwhile an orphan, Marc, escapes from an orphanage. All this wrapped together with a dangerous spy who will kill anyone (even children) make this a heart-stopping adventure!

D day my story.
Now this is a book in a series (my story) I've been told (forced) to read for my bookgroup. Do I like it? No! It is informational (so good for people who need to know about D day) but that's it! I've read informational books that I've enjoyed that are set in the past but they were wrote for pleasure. This (as I said) is for people who need to know. I read for pleasure not information. So I did not enjoy this book. It's like the author (Bryan Perrett) was so caught up in the research that he forgot to make the book intresting. Surely it should be readers first?I will reveiw a book I've enjoyed that was historic today ( to catch up on missed posts!).

(Couldn't find a picture of the book so a picture of war seems to fit!)
My rating: 4/10
Someone who wants to know about D day's rating:7/10
Offical synopsis (because I don't know how to describe it!): Its 1944 when Lieutenant Andy Pope takes part in the D-Day landings, crossing the English Channel to the beaches of Normandy. Ordered to cut off the Germans' line of retreat. Andy's company comes under sustained attack until, as the only unwounded officer left, Andy finds himself in command and fighting for survival…
Was the synopsis longer than the actual reveiw? By Jove!

Lord Loss
For those of you who haven't been introduced to Darren Shan yet you don't know what you are missing! Now it is a horror and is quite gory so has a 12+ rating! Darren Shan has a way to root you to the spot. In one of the first chapters it describes to you what a beheaded body looks like (very usefull!) It is a very enjoyable book. However suggestive horror is alot more scary than gore because it is gorey book it is not as scary as it could be. However if I am reveiwing a horror book I can't resist saying this: Warning don't read after dark!
(Just noticed this is the picture of the audio book!)
My rating: 7/10
What the book is about: "Grubbs" Grady is about to discover what's worse than seeing your parents die. Seeing your parents die at the hands of demons. He has to run to the contryside and meet his uncle. It's safe there… Or is it? Well with a werewolf and a deadly game of chess (even when you're not that good at it.) Sounds funny? Well not when you might never be able to speak to your best freind (not to mention your uncle) again.
Sounds good. Well what you doing reading this pointless paragraph? Just go ahead and buy it.
